Welcome to the earth section of The Elemental Spirit. Earth governs all that is grounded and material in your life: the hearth and home, money issues, jobs. It also covers stability, love of the land, bodily health, food, bounty and gratitude. Earth-based exercises commonly involve some sort of food and giving thanks. Earth keeps you grounded in reality. It represents the salt-of-the-earth types, homebodies and providers. Earth is about understanding our connection to and dependence on a healthy planet. Here you’ll find grounding exercises, mindful eating rites, tea rites and herb uses, as well as guided walking, or “mindfulness hiking.” When you feel like you need to slow down and get back to your roots, you connect with earth.
